About Ridgeline Trail Gear

Ridgeline Trail Gear is a small shelter and pack company in Golden, Colorado. We started in 2023 after too many nights in tents that were either light and flimsy or sturdy and heavy. We wanted a two-person shelter that weighed about two pounds, sat up straight in wind, and could be repaired instead of replaced.

We design everything in-house and sew our prototypes on the same industrial machines we use for repairs. Production runs are made with a cut-and-sew partner in Vietnam that specializes in silicone-coated fabrics, and every piece is inspected in Golden before it ships.

Our test season runs June through October. Prototypes go out with us and a handful of volunteer testers on the Colorado Trail, in the Wind River Range, and anywhere else we can get above treeline. Nothing goes on sale until it has survived at least one full season.
